Duke of Edinburgh
Year 10 complete the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award each year. They are supported to work on a skill and dedicate their time to others before completing an expedition!

Music
Pupils have the opportunity to learn a variety of musical instruments. Peripatetic guitar, piano and drum teachers offer 1:1 lessons and can put enthusiastic pupils through music grades
Trips
We like to offer as many enriching trips as possible to the pupils at GRK. These range from educational visits linked in to subject planning as well as end of term trips to build relationships amongst staff and pupils and have fun!

Sport
Sports sessions are run in small groups as well as a whole school session. Through Sports 4 Kids, professional coaches make sure physical literacy is embedded and tailors for cross-curricular themes based on the requirements of our school. Pupils get the chance to remember, repeat and refine actions and perform them with increasing control, coordination and fluency. We want to develop team players, who can take the lead and learn to work collaboratively with others. Ultimately our pupils improve their fitness, their confidence and those children that “don’t do sport” are usually a thing of the past.
