Last week the some of the pupils on The Edge program hosted a pirate themed fundraising dinner for the staff, to raise money for their skydiving event, in aid for Help For Heroes. Tickets were £20 and the staff were treated to a 3 course meal of:
Starter
Black Bean & aubergine stuffed roasted peppers (Pi-rate-attouille)
Mains
Lime Jerk Chicken
Poached salmon
With sides of boiled rice, potato salad and Mango, melon and cucumber salad with hot mint dressing!
Desert
Chocolate brownie with mixed fruit, cream or ice cream
Mixed fruit with cream or ice cream
The pupils planned the menu, shopped for the food and then cooked and served it themselves. Everyone had a great time and the best dressed pirate even won a bottle of prosecco!
