We are delighted to announce that as of January 2018 we will be taking on a second premises for The Green Room in Kingsley, Hampshire, which will be called The Green Room Kingsley (GRK). The site (on Old Park Farm) offers us great potential for a wide range of activities and qualifications. We will be able to provide facilities for hands on skills, like woodwork, metal work, technology (including 3D design and printing, multi-media art, indoor and outdoor sports, and performing arts including drama and dance.
As well as academic qualifications in English and Maths, we will be introducing an NVQ in Land Based Studies involving Animal Care, a Level 1 qualification in Construction, and the wide-ranging multi-media Arts Award group of qualifications.
Added to that, our new facility will enable us to work with local businesses to allow our pupils to undertake work experience. This will give them the onward possibility of apprenticeships with the aim of easing them into the world of work. The businesses are varied and currently range from coachbuilders to removals, fire engines for the film industry to motor vehicle repairs, horse livery and a range of agricultural businesses including hay-making.
We are looking forward to welcoming our pupils to our new home in January!
