A new term began last week and as usual we kicked off the year with our Brain Gym to shake out of holiday mode and back into school! The three areas pupils had to tackle were:
The fake news room - designed to sharpen critical reasoning skills and teach pupils how to wade through the fog of fake news successfully
Escape from Deej's island - A problem solving adventure where pupils assumed the roles of pirates shipwrecked in the middle of the ocean, facing a series of tasks designed to ensure their survival.
Physical brain room - designed to enhance fine motor skills, building connections between the left and right side of the brain by challenging pupils to complete tasks they won't have done before.As usual pupils gave all rooms their best shot and it was a great way for all pupils - new and existing, to ease into the new term.
