GR6 students opened up The Swan pub for business last week, launching their “Epic Thursdays” takeaway coffee and cake offer. The GR6 team had baked an array of delicious sweet & savoury bites for sale, and Arianna was in charge of the Swan’s hi-tech coffee machine to satisfy the caffeine cravings of our customers, who began arriving from 11am. Proceeds from coffee sales go towards The Swan, whilst the cake stand is raising money for the GR6 summer Resilience Expedition. Epic Thursdays are designed to give the young adults of GR6 the combined experience of careers and enterprise education. Students develop employability skills in an active working environment while still being supported by Green Room staff. We’d like to thank those who came down for their support, and hope to see them and many more next week when we open The Swan doors once again at 11am. Stay Epic!
