GRC Market Garden sessions accompanied Wild Windsor at Sutherland Grange for some tree planting and agronomy. Wild Windsor is an environment team with an initiative to hedge and tree planting across several areas of the borough. Their key focus is natural erosion and providing support for soil retention in areas affected by people, horse and dog traffic.
Despite the cold and snow, out of the planned 250 whips (young shrubs and trees), to plant in various locations across the site, we covered about 40 of them.
Wild Windsor are truly a kind organisation to have spent some time with and we look forward to more planting sessions at Sutherland Grange or Clewer Park soon.
